cheap garden buildings

January 8, 2017

Every day  since i can remember i see value in everything, a purpose for everything, The building you see in the picture only exists because of one huge window in a skip, double glazed and the size of a small wall, the foundations and damp proof course of bricks are left over on sites from much bigger projects, many sites will welcome you taking away wastage when their site is coming to an end or out the skip whenever, if you have enough patience you could build your whole project with reclaimed materials, if you dont include your time and pickup/delivery costs of materials its a free build, However i did buy some materials, i spent 300 on timber, 2x3 studs and 2 1/2 x 2 stud, i could have easily found a skip filled with long reuseable timber, Look out for House Roofs being worked on, maybe a couple of weeks more patience i would have saved £300, and plywood for the roof, again there are always some 8x4 plywood sheets left on big projects, usually protecting driveway, so look for nearly finished building sites, don't be afraid to ask, Just remember you will helping our planet, with that in mind, when salvaging for the good you cant drive around miles looking for it, this would undermine the saving energy and c02 output , try and go your normal life with a sharp eye for things you need for your build
